ORIGIN: Egypt

Hathor is one of the most popular and powerful goddesses of Egypt. Represented as a woman with a sun disk and horns on her head or a woman with the ears of a cow or even just a cow, symbolizing her life-giving energy connected to the fertility of the Earth and land. She was goddess of many things: love, beauty, motherhood, fertility, sexuality, joy, music, dancing, fertility, pleasure, the sun, the sky and protector of woman. Hathor is considered to be a kind and nurturing medicine woman who could bring happiness, help alleviate one's suffering by providing comfort and restoring harmony and balance or "ma'at"  𓍝

The ritual of the Five Gifts of Hathor encouraged gratitude on a daily basis by reminding one of all there was to be thankful for, no matter what losses we may have endured. To practice this a priest or priestess would take hold of the persons left forearm and ask them to name five things you would miss the most if you were to die right now. After naming the five gifts, the priest or priestess would then raise the person's left hand in front of their face and say, look at each finger as representative of the five gifts of Hathor. As soon as we stop feeling grateful, we move toward darkness and disbelief and bitterness in life. Everyday your left hand and five fingers serves as a constant reminder of all that you are grateful for and what is worth waking up for every morning and giving thanks for every night.

Find your daily joy and gratitude through the guidance of Hathor. She brings about the ability to feel joy no matter what may be holding you down. She supports you through pregnancy into a smooth birth and healthy child. 𓁥

Usually shown to be the daughter of the most powerful Ra and, in sometimes believed to be the wife of Horus.

In ancient Egypt, lapis lazuli was a favorite stone for jewelry, amulets and ornaments especially scarabs. They used it with gold to create eyes for the pharaoh’s tombs, and even used powdered lapis lazuli to create blue eye shadow for Cleopatra. It was believed that each small piece of lapis lazuli held a small part of the soul of the all-knowing and all-seeing Egyptian Goddess Isis. Therefore, those who possess this stone had a connection with her knowledge, insight and magical powers.

The ancient Egyptians saw its deep, celestial blue, representative of the night sky, as a symbol of royalty and honor, gods and power, spirit and vision and wisdom and truth. Egyptian High Priests used lapis lazuli for healing purposes as well by grounding lapis into powder and swallowing it to prevent gallstones, sleeplessness or fever. The garments of priests and royalty were dyed with Lapis to indicate their status as gods themselves.

Lapis Lazuli is a powerful healing stone that stimulates the Third Eye chakra for greater enlightenment and spiritual connection. It brings deep peace and releases stress, encouraging harmony, creativity, inner truth, self-awareness, honesty, compassion, clarity and helps in expression of emotions.
